Thomas 2Thomas Robert Campbell, age 80, of Leighton died Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, 5-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Terry Howard officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Campbell worked as a TV repairman at Marvin Morgan for seventeen years. He started the bluegrass band The Campbell Trio in 1969. The family would like to acknowledge fellow musicians and friends that supported his music throughout the years. He was also known as a “Professional Papaw.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rebecca Campbell, and his wife, Pearl Terry Campbell.

He is survived by his son, Terry Campbell and wife, Karen; daughter, Regina Foster and husband, John; brother, Henry Campbell; sister, Eva Coffee; grandchildren, Rebecca Campbell, Terry Sanders, Ryan Campbell, Amber Garrett, Buddy Garrett, Kristen Campbell, Tyler Foster, Daniel Foster, Jessica Garrett, Blake Sanders, and Moriah Sanders; great-grandchildren, Ryan Garrett, John Lee, Terry Alexis Garrett, June Garrett, Howard Garrett Jr., Kailie Beth Foster, and Charles Bradley Robertson; and his “special family,” Amy Kennedy and her son Bentley, Greg Dickerson, Julie Miller, Fred Sizemore, Robert and Leslie and their boys, Patsy Grissom, Billy Vandiver, Wesley Garner, and James and Tina Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Blake Sanders, Billy Vandiver, Randy Hughes, PeeWee Davis, Fred Sizemore, and Wesley Garner.
