Kenneth Lee Hand, Sr., age 62,of Springfield, died Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Hagerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and again on Wednesday from 1:00pm until time of service at 2:30pm.
Kenneth was born in Springfield, Tennessee to Arthur Charles and Tiny Mae Bilyeu Hand. He previously worked for Electrolux as a material handler and served in the United States Navy on the USS Goldsborough DDG-20.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his sister, Anita Hand Davidson. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Shannon Hand, Jr. of Portland; mother of his child, Charlotte Hand of Hendersonville; brothers, Ricky (Lisa) Hand of Florida, Jeffrey Hand of Springfield, Terry Ray Dean of Springfield; grandchildren, Jacob Olive and Breonna Creek; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Michaela (Jordan) Chandler, Meagan (Michael) Rogers, and Sean Crutcher.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield will be in charge of arrangements.
