Duane Jay Head, age 56, of Cedar Hill, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at HATS Group Home in Springfield. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2pm in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brother David Bradley officiating. Burial will follow with Scott Elder, Cody Elder, Carson Elder, Roy Osborne, Barry Barnett and Dalton Barnett serving as pallbearers. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Head was born July 4, 1966 in Nashville to the late Max and Marilyn Gower Head. He loved country music, gospel hymns, U.T. football and basketball, the TN Titans, and going to HATS. Mr. Head was also a member of the New Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Head is preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Head, brother, Kevin Head, grandparents, Mary Lou and J.C. Head, Nettie and Gaelor Gower, and his step-brother, Micky Elder.
Mr. Head is survived by his step-mother, Glenda Head; step-brother, Scott Elder; aunts and uncle, Suzanne and Roy Osborne, and Jan Stroud; and many nieces nephews, and cousins.
