Mr. John Matthews, age 82 of Albertville, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Baltimore Avenue Church of God, with Brother Monroe Upchurch officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 11:00 am till the time of service, burial will follow at Happy Hill Cemetery, Sardis AL.
He is survived by his wife Delilah Matthews; daughter Leslie Wilson; brothers Bill Matthews (Elaine) and Verdell Matthews; grandchildren Hannah Wilson and Jonah Salers (Stacey David); and great grandchild Jaxton Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Pearl Matthews; sister Shirley Ann Matthews; and brothers Verbon Matthews, Carl Matthews, and Robert L. Matthews
