Melvin Junior Staggs, age 67, of Leoma, TN, formerly of Nashville, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from MTA as a bus driver, a lifetime member of the VFW, and a member of the Amalgameted Transit Union. Mr. Staggs served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Staggs; six brothers; and three sisters.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, March 01, 2013, with Charles Gresham officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
