Glenn P. Segers Glenn P. Segers, 95 of Arab passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Segers was born July 6, 1927, in Walker, County the son of Thomas E. and Fannie Black Segers. He graduated from Walker County High School and served in the US Army, being drafted toward the close of WWII and during the Korean War. Mr. Segers was retired after a career with Chrysler Corporation where he worked as an Electrical Technician. He was married to Bobbie Goodwin Segers for 66 years until her death on May 24th, of this year. They enjoyed traveling together and were long time faithful members of the Arab First United Methodist Church. Mr. Segers was also a Mason and was a member of the Jasper, AL Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed Alabama Football, Atlanta Braves Baseball and fishing. He was a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed “tinkering and fixing things”.

He is survived by his son: Michael Segers and wife, Kristie; daughter: Kaye Segers Stricklend and husband, Billy; granddaughter: Katlyn Stricklend Caldwell and husband, Mark; great grandson: William “Will” Mark Caldwell; host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends and special caregiver, Gayla Shedd. Preceding him in death were his parents: Thomas E. and Fannie Segers; wife: Bobbie Segers; brothers: Thomas E. “T.E.” Segers, James Segers and Joseph Roger Segers.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Arab First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Arab First United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers: Mark Brazelton, Ted Green, Robert Angel, Rich Embrey, Stan Segers and Tommy Segers.
