Funeral services for Mrs. Aline Ethel Mitchell, age 83, will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time on Friday.
Mrs. Mitchell passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Union United Methodist Church in Trenton, TN; was a retired tax consultant for H & R Block; she loved to read, cook, look at rainbows, and look at pictures of her grandchildren; and loved to go visit the cemetery on Memorial and Veterans Day to place flowers and flags on the graves.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Jones; and two grandsons, Adam Tatum and Daniel Tatum.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, James Mitchell; three children, Fran Mellen, Andy Tatum, and Jackie Partin; two stepchildren, Sandra Hill and Jimmy Mitchell; a brother, Michael Wagner; eight grandchildren, Nick Tatum, Stephen Tatum, Brian Jones, Weston Partin, Kaitlin Cristofori; Sydney McCoy; Mitch Hill, and Jessie Mitchell; and nine great grandchildren, Atlas Tatum, Hayden Tatum, Emma Tatum, Silas Tatum, Michael Owen Jones, Evie Willey, Alex Miller, Janie McCormick, and Anastaia Partin.
