Joseph Ralph Haney, 73, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Feb. 26, 2013.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cullen and Ada Cox Haney; sister, Nancy Bullington.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elaine Hodson Haney;
son, Greg Haney, of Muscle Shoals; and daughter, Joni Whitlock, of Sheffield, Ala.;
two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren;
brother, Billy Haney, of South Korea; and sister, Phyllis Fowler, of Toney, Ala.
Mr. Haney was a member of the Church of Christ faith, former mayor of Muscle Shoals and served in the United States Navy.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Helen Keller Hospital and Dr. Clark and staff of the Valley Regional Cancer Center.
