Kathy Phillips Keel, 65, of Hazel Green, passed away on Sunday while surrounded by her loving family.
She was a Christian, a part of the Church of God, and always had an outgoing, energetic personality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas Phillips and Ruby Nell Sparks Phillips; Her brother, James Thomas Phillips Jr; Her sisters, Sandy Lee Winkles, Elaine Carlisle, and Bernice McMinn.
Surviving family members include her husband of 47 years, Rayford Keel; Her daughters, Dawn (James) Harper and Theresa (Ricky) Honea; Her sisters: Linda (Larry) Taylor, Shirley Howard, Phoebe (Aubrey) Colwell, and Tammy (Kevin) Smith; Her grandchildren: Kinslee Keel, Steven Honea, John Honea, and Sabrina Honea. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Sanders officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Stateline Cemetery.
