Mark Dwayne Sells, age 61 of Schererville, IN, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022. On July 23, 1961, in Harvey, IL, Joyce (Swaim) Sells and the late Jimmie Sells welcomed one of their four children, Mark to the world. Mark was a 1979 class graduate of TF South High School in Lansing, IL. Mark was currently the owner and operator of MDS Appraisals INC in Schererville, IN. He was an avid sport enthusiast, who cheered on Chicago sports teams. Mark enjoyed playing softball with his friends, driving his jeep everywhere, and spoiling his nieces and nephews. He loved spending time in Tennessee with his family and was looking forward to retiring in Tennessee soon. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie Grady and Lillie Dale (Riddle) Swaim; paternal grandparents, Andy Gray and Mattie Lee (Sanders) Sells; and several uncles and cousins. Mark is survived by his loving mother, Joyce (Swaim) Sells of Winchester; sister (soul sister) Bonnie Sells of Winchester; brothers, Dale Keith (Joann) Sells of Winchester and Dana Sells of Lansing, IL; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friend, Jeannie Slater of Southbend, IN. Visitation for Mark will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:00am from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
