Gilbert Tribble, Jr., 79 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Tribble was born on October 4th, 1942, to Gilbert Tribble, Sr., and Mattie Abernathy Tribble.
Mr. Tribble is survived by his son Chad Tribble (Tina); daughter Cindy Tribble; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister Jane Tucker.
Preceded in death by his wife Janice Tribble; son Greg Tribble; sister Janice Cagle; and his parents.
Funeral services for Mr. Tribble will be Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Kasey Harbin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Dement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Staggs, Jackie Tucker, Howard Robinson, Jr., Tommy Hill, David Hill, and Jonathan Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Tribble and Neal Muse.
Mr. Tribble was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union No. 760.
