Bernice Spencer Helen Bernice Adair Spencer, 66, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Magnolia Regional Health Care Center in Corinth after an extended illness. Ninth of eleven children, Bernice was born April 7, 1956, at home near Tishomingo to Douglas Lee and Myrtle Dellie Pate Adair. She worked as a seamstress for many years at Golden Manufacturing.  She lived in the Ryan’s community of Itawamba County several years before moving to Guys a short while ago. She enjoyed being around her family.

Per Bernice’s request, the family will hold a memorial gathering at a later date. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her four children, John Douglas Adair, Billy Doyle Swader (Amy), Savannah Alice Spencer, and Dennis Dewayne Spencer, Jr.; one sister, Betty Alice Adair Davis; two grandchildren, Justin Blaylock and Niki Parrott (Joey); four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kiyrie, Ainsley, and Lynnox; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Lee and Myrtle Dellie Pate Adair, and her brothers and sisters, Lee Edward Adair, Myrtle Irene Adair White, Lelia Maxine Adair Jones, Bobby Wayne Adair, Joyce Vernell Adair Earnest, Brenda Sue Adair Jones, Tommy Daniel Adair, Douglas Lee Adair, Jr., and Freda Jean Adair Renshaw.
