Thomas William Hodge, age 85 of Decherd, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Decherd on December 9, 1936 to the late Royal Enmon and Annie (Fisher) Hodge. Before his retirement, he had been employed for forty years with the Franklin County Highway Department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as working in his vegetable garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Thomas William “Little Bud” Hill; and siblings, Buster Hodge, Alta Mae May, and Junior Hodge. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Rachel (Haddix) Hodge of Winchester; children, Brenda (Dale) Morris of Huntland, Anna (Ronnie) Wolfe of Humboldt, Stevie (Pam Dudley) Hodge of Decherd, and Kenneth (Beverly) Hodge of Winchester; grandchildren, Jarod Hill, Jaclyn Drake, Stephen Hodge, Amber Hodge, Joycelynn Hodge, Parker Dudley, Taylor Dudley, Ashley Hodge, Jeremy Hodge, Katie Cope, and Tabitha Yates; and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022 and 12-2pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Justin Hill officiating. Interment will be at Pennington Cemetery.
