Bernice Bonds, 74, of Iuka, MS, passed peacefully at her home on Friday, August 26, 2022 surrounded by those that loved her. Born in Tishomingo County, MS on October 9, 1947 to the late Willie and Annie Alexander Bonds, she was an avid cookbook collector, an incredible cook, and loved making her loved ones laugh.  She showed unmeasurable strength to remain a comfort to those closest to her all the way to her last days.  A private gathering of family and close friends will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bernice’s memory include her daughter, Brooke Lambert and husband Bobby Michael of Iuka; her son, Tim Lambert and wife Melissa of Corinth; her sisters, Ann Bates French of Iuka, and Linda Bonds of Tupelo; her brother, Leck Bonds of Pearl, MS; her daughter-in-law, Amy Lambert of Burnsville, MS; her granddaughters, Charlie Lambert of Corinth, Leah Lambert of Myrtle, and Juana and Maria Michael of Iuka; her grandson, Osvin Michael of Iuka; her fur baby, Bella; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her son, Robby Lambert; her sister, Nona Burns Barnett; and her brother, Marty Bonds. “I left in love, in laughter, and in truth; and wherever truth, love and laughter abide, I am there in spirit.”
