Judge C. “J.C.” Clement Sr., 95, Belmont, Miss., died Feb. 24, 2013, at ECM Hospital. He was born September 30, 1917 to Doc Walker and Mary Wigginton Clement. He was an overhead crane operator for Reynolds Metals.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Miss., with Brother Roger Wood and Brother Greg Forbus officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home Belmont, Miss., will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by four children, Joyce Clement Thompson (Dr. Donald) and Jack Ronald Clement (Dawn), all of Florence; Jo’el Clement Thompson, of Birmingham, and J.C. Clement Jr. (Patsy), of Belmont; eight grandchildren, Angela Loo’ser, Mark Dennis, Annalisa Jager, Todd Thompson, Tammy Bostick,
Clay Clement, Mollie Walker McLemore and Carter Clement; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Clement, of Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvalene Mayhall Clement, 10 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home Belmont, Miss.
