Funeral service for Henry “Bud” Kurz, 89, of Trinity, will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Eddie Scheler and Pastor Chris Brynestad officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Roselawn, and Tuesday, February 26, 2013, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bud died on Friday, February 22, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Parkway. He was born in Scribner, NE. on October 24, 1923, to Henry and Alma Kurz.
Bud was a retired farmer. He was a life long farmer. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Myrtle Lummell, Augusta Steil, Edna Brandt, Viola Kurz, and Hilda Richey; and two brothers, Leory Kurz and Walter Kurz.
He is survived by his two nephews, Larry Kurz and Doug (Sue) Kurz; great niece, Kristi (Shannon) Webb; great nephew, Robert (Vezena) Kurz; great-great nieces and nephew, Samantha Kurz, Sophie Wedd, and Riley Kurz.
Pallbearers will be Mark McMinn, Deverl Lamon, Randy Lamon, Phillip Pisani, Nick Pisani, James Pannier, John Vassar, and Shannon Webb.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Foundations for a Future of Faith II.
