Verna Louise Roberts Farris, 80, retired Chief Deputy Clerk for the Maury County Trustees Office and resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, August 1, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside inurnment will be conducted Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born December 6, 1941 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Paul Roberts and the late Cora B. Franks Roberts. She married Kenney Farris who preceded her in death December 15, 2002. Mrs. Farris was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Dee Dee (Tony) Sykes of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her Ricky McCracken; and sisters, Pauline Jett and Barbara Anglin.
