Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Frances Price, age 88 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Lineville Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Curlee and Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Price passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Born in Randolph County, Mrs. Frances lived the first half of her life in Lineville, graduating from Lineville High School and owned and operated Curlee Dry Cleaners for a handful of years. Her family moved to Dallas, TX in 1970, and after worked some time at a daycare, she worked over 15 years at Restland Funeral Home in Richardson, TX. While in Texas, she enjoyed being a part of her Rec. Bowling League. After her retirement, She moved back home to Clay County, and became very involved with different outreach and children’s programs at Lineville Baptist Church, in which she was a member. A Godly woman, Mrs. Frances taught Sunday school at LBC, helped with preparing meals, and would go on nursing home visits with the church as well. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and taking care of her family. Mrs. Frances had a big heart and was a natural caregiver to her family and friends, and she would often put everyone else before herself.
Mrs. Price is survived by her four daughters: Judy Price and Peggy Price, both of Dallas, TX, Vanessa Mitchon (Jim) of Austin, TX, and Susan Nall (Chris) of Lineville; her daughter in law, Sandy Sims of Raleigh, NC; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Murphey (Franklin) of Newell; and one brother, Doug Johnson (Carol) of Delta, plus extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John Cleveland and Mary Magleen Taylor Johnson; her husbands, Marvin Sims and Willie Price; her sons, Jerry Sims and Donald Price; her great-grandson, Eli Sims; three sisters and three brothers.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Lineville Baptist Church from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M.
