Mr. Barry Don Craft, of Arab Alabama passed away on Tuesday August 2, 2022 at age 76. Mr. Craft was born to Homer Don Craft and Essie Lee Johnson on July 7, 1946 in Cartersville, Georgia. Mr. Craft married Rivette Delena Bienvenu on March 29, 1968 in Cartersville, Georgia and was married for 54 years. After moving from Rome, Georgia they lived in Arab for the last 30+ years. After serving his country and being honorably discharged from both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, Mr. Craft enjoyed caring for his yard, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football. He was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church, and had a fondness for animals.
Mr. Craft is survived by his wife; Rivette Craft, son; Kevin D. Craft, daughter; Kimberly R. Craft Smith and her husband Chris, grandchildren; Joey Turnage, Collin Turnage, C.J. Turnage, MaKayla Craft, and Landon Craft, and brother; Wayne Craft, and is expecting his first great-grandchild in October.
Mr. Craft is preceded in death by his parents; Homer D. Craft and Essie Lee Johnson Craft, sister; Sue Guice, and daughter-in-law; Jill Craft.
The family has elected cremation. A memorial service for Mr. Craft will be Saturday August 13, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Henderson and Son Funeral Chapel in Rome, Georgia.
