Delbert (Del) Waybright, 86, long time resident of Huntsville and Harvest, Al passed away peacefully at home on 6 Aug 2022. He is survived by his long time partner, Josiane Rioux, and his children Blaine Waybright, Angie Pagtalonia, Brad Waybright, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Del relocated to Huntsville in 1963 and worked for various NASA Space and DOD contractors. Programs Del worked on included the Apollo rockets instrumentation unit, multi-component control systems for NASA solid rocket boosters, blast container for SRB recertification after the Challenger accident, weapon system simulators for DOD, Mechanical Systems for space shuttle integration and space station racks and chassis. He went on to work on other defense and technical projects.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
