Lee Roy Cooper, age 84, of Sumiton, passed away August 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Grace Cooper; sisters, Melba Jean Edge and Linda Joyce Reeves. Lee is survived by his wife, Barbara Reeves Cooper, of Sumiton, AL; son, James Scott Cooper, of Mobile, AL; sister, Judith Armstrong (William) of Fultondale, AL as well a host of nieces and nephews. Lee attended Phillips Chapel Church. He enjoyed locomotives, fishing, wildlife and Alabama football. He never met a piece of chocolate that he did not like. Funeral services will be held at Phillips Chapel Church on Monday, August 8, 2022. Visitation from 1-2pm, funeral service will begin at 2pm. There will be no graveside services. The family welcomes all to enjoy a meal in the fellowship hall following the funeral service. Bro. Everett Pruden will officiate.
