Terry, a long time resident of Huntsville, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday morning, 22 July 2022.
Born in Belleville, IL. He was the son of the late Jesse James Jones of Glasgow KY. and late Dorothy Eloise Parker Jones of Erin, Tn.
He was of the Baptist Faith and he appreciated the many prayers which were offered during his recent battles with illness.
Growing up between Plainfield, In. and Huntsville, with a stop in Erin, Tn., Terry was a graduate of Butler High School and served Honorably
in the United States Navy (1977-81), as a Boatswains Mate 2nd Class with Duty Stations at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico and later Jacksonville, FL.
His professional career was devoted to the U.S. Postal Service where he was a Distribution Clerk in Decatur, AL.
He was preceded in death by his son Derek Lee Jones (17), his brothers Steven Duane Jones (22) and Gary James Jones (52). He is survived by his son Steven D. Jones (Stephanie) and grandson Dillon L. Jones,
and his brother Jeffrey D. Jones along with many great friends and family.
Interment will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens on U.S. Hwy 72 with services to be announced at a later time.

Finally, Terry wanted to offer and extend his most gracious sincere thanks, admiration and appreciation to the Dr.’s and Staff and Clearview Cancer Institute and Alliance Cancer Care in Huntsville.
