Edward Lee Davis, 91, of Fort Payne, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born August 17, 1930 to the late Carl and Irene Whitley Davis. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Plainview Holiness Church. He and his wife, Clara enjoyed gospel music and often traveled to hear their favorite groups. Mr. Davis received his 50 year pin from Fort Payne Masonic Lodge 437.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m.
He is survived by his daughters Deborah Wofford and Donna Hughes and husband Steve; brother Jay Davis; sisters Edna Inman, Wanda Reece, Annette Kennedy, and Jo McBride; grandchildren Joshua Wofford, Jeremy Wofford, Alan Hughes, Bethany Hughes; and great-grandchildren Austin, Noah, Andrea, and Josh Wofford, and Maddie Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Mae Davis.
