Donald G. Shannonhouse, age 77 of Monteagle, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Waters of Winchester. Donald was born on November 20, 1944, in Birmingham, Al, to the late Anne Miller Shannonhouse and Renaud Capers Shannonhouse. He went to school in Birmingham and New Jersey, later earning his degree in Psychology from the University of The South. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1966 – 1969 while stationed in New Jersey, Germany, and Vietnam. He returned to the Tennessee Valley and retired in 2005 after holding many government jobs. In 2009, he moved to Monteagle where he lived until his passing.
