Funeral service for Mr. Mark Alexander, age 58 of Eastaboga, will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, 3:00 P.M., at Union D. Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Union D. Baptist Church Cemetery

Mr. Alexander passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was born in Anniston, and had lived most of his life in Calhoun Co. He was known as a “Jack of all trades” had worked in Construction and Carpentry for many years and over 20 years at the Talladega Short Track doing everything from track and grounds maintenance to utilities and security. He also had the opportunity to use his skills at Talladega Super Speedway and Daytona along with short track racing at Talladega and Green Valley.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his son, Little Mark Alexander (Michelle) of Eastaboga, grandchildren, Hayden and Dawson Alexander of Eastaboga, one sister Sharon Nowland (Scott) of Lineville, 2 brothers, Chuck Alexander (Billie) of Lineville, Mike Alexander (Vicky) of Ragland, a step brother Mike L. Waldrop (Sheila) of Lineville, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Patricia Alexander, one brother Russell Alexander, one step brother Randy Waldrop, and his step mother, Daisy Alexander.
Active pallbearers are Adam Stewart, Scott Nowland, Dawson Alexander, Justin Nowland, Mike Donahoo, and John Palmer.
Honorary Pallbearers are Little Mark Alexander and Hayden Alexander.
His visitation will take place on Friday, July 15, 2020 from 1:30 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M.at Union D Baptist Church,
Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville is in charge of arrangements.
