Mary Elizabeth Tullis, beloved wife, mother, and grandmama passed away on Saturday, July 09, 2022, at the age or 97.
Mary, known as grandmama by her grandbabies was a sweet, compassionate, loving woman who was dedicated to caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, and above all else, spending time with her family.
Mary was a lifelong member of Isbell United Methodist Church and was the oldest living member. She embodied all of the values of a virtuous woman in all aspects of her life.
Mary was born in Franklin County, Alabama and was the daughter of the late William Joseph & Alma Mater King. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Tullis, Sr., six sisters, and four brothers.
Mary lived in Liberty Hill, AL for 36 years before residing in Muscle Shoals for 5 years.
She is survived by her son, David Tullis, Jr. (Lanie); two daughters, Mary Ann Taylor (Charles), Martha Todd (Mark), five grandchildren, Charles Taylor Jr. (Collin), Mary Harrelson, Christy Odom (Ryan), Kim Evans (Matthew), Eric Todd, eight great-grandchildren, Joshua Harrelson, Emily Harrelson, Carly Harrelson, Jackson Odom, Micah Odom, John Evans, Kaylee Evans, Aiden Taylor; and a host of nieces & nephews all of which loved her deeply.
A funeral honoring her life will be at 11:00 Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Pastor Pam Seeley officiating the service. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Charles Taylor, Sr., Mark Todd, Ryan Odom, Joshua Harrelson, Matthew Evans, and Derrick McKee.
