Patsy Jean Stone, 71 of Dora, passed away Tuesday July 5, 22 at Cordova Health Center.
She was a lifelong member of Sumiton Church of God, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. She worked for Sam Glover Drugs, David’s Discount Pharmacy and Ken Glover Drugs, in a career that spanned 46 years. Her favorite sports teams were whichever teams her grandchildren were playing for.
Funeral services will be Friday July 8, 22 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lane Sargent will officiate. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Sumiton. Visitation is Friday 12:30 pm until service time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Stone; parents, Martin and Rosa Upton Glover; sister, Peggy Glover and brother, Sam Glover.
Survivors include her daughter, Emily Potts; son, Benjamin Stone and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Olivia Potts, Haley Stone, Garrett Potts, Lilly Stone and Emma Potts; brother, Jimmy Glover and wife Nell; sister-in-law, Sarah Glover; brothers-in-law, Mickey Stone and wife Sedera and Larry Stone and wife Sherry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
