William Percy “Pete” Cook, age 80, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 12pm Owens Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. David Evans officiating.
Mr. Cook was born June 20, 1942 in Robertson County, TN to the late Percy and Ruby Osborne Cook. He worked as a licensed Tobacco sprayer and was a member of the Owens Chapel United Methodist Church. He was in the Robertson County Laity Club, watched NASCAR, Bull riding, Blue Bloods and westerns. He also enjoyed getting outside and mowing and gardening and turning on some gospel music.
In addition to his parents Mr. Cook is preceded in death by brothers, Wayne and Richard Cook, and sister-in-law, Peggy Cook.
Mr. Goostree is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jo Wix Cook; nephew, Tony (Lisa) Cook; nieces, Beth (Ken) Toothman and Kathy (Scott) Wiggins; special nephew, Chris Cook; and best friends, Melvin Spain, Lola Cook, Linda Cook and John Wiggins.
