Velma O. Gurley 97, of Huntsville, passed away on Tuesday. Mrs. Gurley was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Deemie and Arthur Gurley, brother, Earnest Gurley, and sister, Inez Holder.
She is survived by her two bothers, Rev. Shelby Gurley of Meridianville and Raymond Gurley of Huntsville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs Gurley was a charter member of Brownsboro Baptist Church, where she was a faithful servant of the Lord.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00am to 11:00am at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville and the service will follow at 11:00am from the Spry Chapel with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Joseph Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
