Graveside services for Eleanor Etling Thompson, 87, of Spring Hill, TN., formerly of Corinth, MS, are set for Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1pm at Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 11am – 12:30pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Born July 28, 1934 in Plainfield, NJ, Eleanor passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Spring Hill, TN. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Savannah E. Whitehurst (Bobby) and Tracy Thompson Sneed (Mark); 4 grandchildren, Riley Thompson Reed (Melissa), Hannah Reed Sleeper (Todd), Rebekah K. Reed and Sarah Whitehurst Christian (Jared); 7 great grandchildren, Lily Reed, Will Reed, Jackson Sleeper, Reed Sleeper, Hank Sleeper, Shelby Reed, Luke McDaniel and Wyatt Christian; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Karl Thompson; father, Walter Etling; mother, Gertrude C. Etling and her sisters, Barbara Etling Bettis and Caroline G. Best.
