Mrs. Sue P. Moman aged 96 of Albertville was born May 31, 1926 to the late Albert and Grace Potts, and passed away at Marshall Medical Center North June 8, 2022. Sue was a public servant who worked with The Auburn University and Marshall County Food Programs where she taught for nearly 50 years. Sue also served as a distinguished member of the Alabama Extension Homemaker’s Council, served as both County, and State President, as well as serving on the National Council. She furthered her commitment to her community by serving on the Marshall County Library Board for 50 years, which she also helped to organize. Her duties not only carried her across the United States, but also abroad, and as far away as Puerto Rico. Sue continued her faithful service on the Regional Council for the Area Agency on Aging, the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments, as well as demonstration of her dedication and concern to humanity with Snead State Junior College. She was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother to her loving family. She was a faithful servant of The First United Methodist Church of Guntersville, where she stayed very active as member. Sue was a picture perfect example of a Virtuous Christian Woman, as she was not only dedicated to Serving God, and her family, but those in need as well. She was loved by her family, friends, and community, and will be missed by all. Sue leaves behind a strong legacy to her Son: John Moman (Shannon), Mary Conquest (Loved as a Daughter), Grandchildren: Belinda Gallegos (John), Robert Moman (Joelle), and Margaret Stephens (Garrett). Great Grandchildren: Ryan Gallegos (Susie), Jacob Gallegos (Jackii), Brock Moman, Koy Moman, Marley Ames, Ethan Ames, Lilly Stephens, Hayden Stephens, and Aubree Stephens. Sue also leaves behind 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Janson Gallegos, Silas Ramos, and Milo Ramos. Sue was Preceded in death by: Her Loving Husband: J L “Bud” Moman Jr. Parents: Albert, and Grace Potts. Sisters: Beatrice Taylor, Irma Murphree, Wilma Daniels, and one Brother: A C Potts Jr.
Services for Sue P.Moman will be Held Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Guntersville First United Methodist Church with Visitation from 1:00pm- 3:00pm, with Services Following at 3:00pm. Burial Will Take Place at Mt. High Cemetery on Alabama Hwy 205 in Albertville. Reverend Terry Bentley Officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Jerry Mitchell, Eddie Anderson, Don Crane, Jackie Carroll,Tim Moman, Ethan Ames, and Sam Willmore.
