Deanna Nicole Pollard, 50, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at her home. She graduated from E.B. Erwin High School with honors in 1990. Later she graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham with a B.S. Degree in Psychology and a B.S. and Master’s Degree in English. After graduation she taught English and World Literature at UAB for eleven years. She was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church in Trussville, AL.

A graveside service will be Thursday, June 9, 2 p.m. at Holly Springs Cemetery, Hodges, AL with Randy Rawlinson officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her parents – Bob and Theresa Moomaw; her grandmother – Loretta Rawlinson; an uncle – Randy Rawlinson (Pam); aunts – Hettie Mobley and Mena Moomaw; many cousins and her very best friend “Toby” her pup.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, Samaritans Purse.
