MichaelMichael Carden, 49, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mr. Carden was formerly employed in the construction industry and at Day-Brite in Tupelo. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Lt. Col. Robert Armstrong. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Michael Walker, Robbie Marlar, Butch Timbes, Jon Sheppard, Andy Heavener, and Randy Hardwick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his mother, Billie Holland of Iuka, MS; one brother, Keith Carden of Iuka, MS; four step-brothers, Larry, Terry, Gary, and Jerry Carden, all of Iuka, MS; one sister, Debra Sheppard and husband, Joe, of Walnut, MS; one nephew, Jon Sheppard and wife, Angela, of Tishomingo, MS; one niece, Rebekah Ray of Walnut, MS; one great-nephew, Christian Ray; and four great-nieces, Ansley Ray, Kaley Latch, Claire Ray, and Hanna Sheppard. He was preceded in death by his father, Buck Carden; his step-father, Deedy Holland; and his grandparents, Wallace and Ruth Biggs Hobbs, and Lem and Ola Hughes Carden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery Fund.
