Brenda Diane Royster Warnix, 64, of Troy, Alabama, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mrs. Warnix was born November 29, 1957 in Arab, Alabama, the daughter of Grady Sylvester and Imogean Thompson Royster. Mrs.Warnix was a former resident of both Arab and Huntsville but had been a resident of Troy, Alabama since 2002. She was employed by Health Care and worked as a nurse’s aide. She and her husband, Jackie Wayne Warnix, were married in 1975 and shared their life for 47 years.
While working full time and being a loving wife and mother, Brenda still found time to be involved in the important things in life, spending time with her family and friends. Brenda’s other favorite pastime was spending time on the water with a good fishing pole and always waiting for the next fish to bite.
Mrs. Warnix is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jackie Wayne Warnix, her children, Jason Warnix (Mandy) and Miranda Denise Warnix. She is also survived by her grand-children, Jordan Warnix, Kara Warnix, Erin Warnix, Issac Hill and Makaiya Horton; one great-grandchild and special friend, Ryan Flowers.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Sylvester and Imogean Thompson Royster.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Brookwood Cemetery, Marshall County. Bro. Randy Blakely will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Tyler, Danny Michaels, Shawn Hall, Johnny Larkin, Rick Lemke, Robbie Boyles and John Larkin, III.
In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations to aid with the burial expenses. Donations may be made to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
