Lisa Jones recognized for demonstrating compassion and unwavering commitment
to helping others
FLORENCE– North Alabama Medical Center recently announced that Lisa Jones has been recognized as the facility’s 2022 Mercy Award winner. The Mercy Award recognizes one employee from each of LifePoint Health’s facilities who profoundly touches the lives of others and best represents the spirit and values on which the company was founded.
The Mercy Award is an annual recognition program established in 2002 to honor the life and contributions of Scott Mercy, LifePoint’s founding chairman and chief executive officer. The award is considered the highest honor a LifePoint employee can receive.
“At North Alabama Medical Center, we share LifePoint’s commitment to making communities healthier, and we recognize this is supported by the good work and service of our employees on and off the job,” said Russell Pigg, CEO of NAMC. “We are extremely proud to recognize Lisa for her efforts on behalf of our patients and our community. She goes above and beyond each and every day to ensure that every person she encounters receives the highest level of care and compassion.”
Lisa has been a vital part of the Eliza Coffee/North Alabama Medical Center Family for over 15 years and has always been described as dependable, efficient, unfailingly punctual, positive, and proactive. Her willingness to take on challenging tasks while checking off her to-do list and others’ to-do lists and see them to successful completion has repeatedly impressed her directors and managers over the years. Her skills do not end with her work. She also projects a warm, cheerful attitude to our patients and employees. Lisa goes the extra mile to make sure that people feel loved and appreciated and that they matter. In the past, she has used her own funds to make certain patients and employees are happy and healthy in her presence. In her nomination from her coworkers, the following quote stuck out to administration, “Lisa has true dedication, loyalty, and love for North Alabama Medical Center. I am tearing up writing this because she has been not only the co-worker, I can depend on but also one of my best friends who keeps me calm, encouraged, uplifted, and laughing all day long. In simple terms, the world and North Alabama Medical Center are a better place because Lisa Jones is in it.”
Each facility winner, including Lisa Jones, will be considered for LifePoint’s 2022 companywide
Mercy Award. The companywide winner will be announced this summer and honored during a ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., in August, to which Lisa Jones and all facility winners are invited to attend.
