Paul Jack Sparks, 75, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 14, 2022. Paul grew up surrounded with a large family of five brothers and two sisters. He was married on November 24, 1967 to his wife, Catherine Charlene Moses. They had three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Paul was a devout Christian and strived to instill the word of God to his family. He spoke the name of Jesus to anyone he came in contact with and shared the plan of salvation to all who would listen.
Throughout his time on earth, he faced many tragedies, trials, and tribulations. Through it all, he kept the faith, fought the fight and ran the race that was set before him. His faith never wavered. Now he has been reunited with his loved ones who preceded him in death: his parents- Jessie Willard Sparks and Gracy Florene Newell Sparks; wife of thirty-nine years- Catherine Charlene Moses Sparks; son- Timothy Paul Sparks; daughter-in-law-Wendy Olivia Cunningham Sparks; grandson-Roman Jeffery Roberts; three brothers-Kelly Dean Sparks, Phillip Gary Sparks and Donnie Doyle Sparks; all four grandparents- Angelo and Auger Sparks, Ollen and Elsie Newell; three nephews- Randy Willard Sparks, Bradley Glenn Hester and William Nelson Mitchell; father-in-law-Junior Moses; brother-in-law- Roger Jarnigan and sister-in-law- Rose Mary Moses.
He is survived by two daughters- Paula Mae Crowe (Jerry Lee) and Mary Catherine Bentley; five grandchildren- Erik Jordan Roberts, Cory Andrew Sparks (Jasmine), Kelsie Grace Helton (Anthony Chad), Kendra Hope Garcia (Albert) and Timothy Cade Sparks; six great- grandchildren- Gracie and Journee West, Jewels and Junior Garcia, Olivia Sparks and Eli Helton; two brothers- Jimmy Willard Sparks (Rita) and Jessie David Sparks (Lavonda); two sisters- Barbara Joe Jarnigan and Charlotte Mae Hester (Jessie Glenn); two aunts- Bobby Newell and Betty Campbell; one uncle- Evon Newell and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, at 4:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS. with Bro. David Gould and Bro. Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 12- 4:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Malone, Joshua Mitchell, Brent Taylor, Lanny Gasaway, Kade Sparks and Cory Sparks.
