Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Taunton May, age 92, of Lineville will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. EST at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Bro. David Holcombe will officiate and burial will follow at Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. May was a lifelong resident of Clay County. She loved sewing and worked for Southland Manufacturing for over 40 years. At home she enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Gale Caldwell Dingler of Heflin and Dale Caldwell (Ginger) of Lineville; three grandchildren, TJ Dingler, Melanie Gail Watson and Christie Marlene Ader; nine great-grandchildren, Chase Morgan, Treston Dew, Max Watson, Ford Ader, Marley Ader, Lily Watson, Ethan Dingler, Paisley Dingler and Landon Dingler; five great-great-grandchildren, Maddox Green, Bentley Morgan, Case Morgan, Hollis Morgan and Trace Dew; brother Buford Taunton of Talladega; several other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded by her parents Sam and Meryle Taunton; husband, Thomas E. May; and two grandsons, Daniel Dale Caldwell and David East.
Pallbearers are Ford Ader, Chase Morgan, TJ Dingler, Bill Bennett, Max Watson and Paul Bryant.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
