Doris Nell Neese, age 68, of Florence, left her earthly body on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richmond Henderson (Ricky) Neese Jr., and her two daughters, Kelly Rainey (Bill) of Lewisburg, TN and Heather Hill (David) of
Lexington, AL. Doris was a loving grandmother of five; Isabella Neese, Brodie Rainey, Solomon Hill, Carter Hill, and Thomas Hill.
Doris is survived by her two sisters, Barabara Hannah (Ronnie) and Linda Lovelace, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Doris is preceded in death by her parents Birdie and Buddy Robertson, brother Royce Robertson (Shirley), Doyce Robertson, sister Edith Smith, and niece Kimberly Sanderson (Hannah).
Doris was born July 17, 1953 at ECM Hospital in Florence. Doris attended Coffee High School.
Doris enjoyed a quiet life of retirement with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved to travel with her family and collect keepsakes along the way. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in church events. Doris was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and friend. Doris will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Elkins East in Killen. Visitation will be from 12-2 with funeral to follow in the chapel. Doris will be laid to rest at Greenview Cemetery in Florence.
