Brinton G. “Wild Man” Heath

A visitation for Brinton G. “Wild Man” Heath, age 70 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Mr. Heath passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Born in Ashland, He worked for over 50 years as a truck driver for multiple companies, and also owned Heath Trucking for some time. “Wild Man” as he was nicknamed, supported Alabama football, fishing, riding around town and chasing women. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time and cutting up with his family, and he loved making people laugh. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by three daughters: Patty Ward (James) of Goodwater, Sherry Bailey (Ross) and Jennifer Dean (David), both of Alexander City; three sons: Danny Heath (Jessica) of Alexander City, Lee Heath (Trisha) and Doug Heath (Jessie), both of Ashland; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara Jackson (Mark) and Sue Smith (Doyle); one brother, Jimmy Heath, all of Ashland; his first cousins, Stevie and Vicki Long of New Site, plus a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Byron G. Heath and Mary Lee Brown Heath; one daughter, Christie Louise Heath; and five brothers: Sherwood “Bug” Heath, Byron “Doodle” Heath, James C. “Roadmap” Heath, Horace Lee Heath, and Johnny “Shine” Heath.
