Eloise Brown, 91 of Arab passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Redstone Village in Huntsville. Eloise was born November 17, 1930, in Marshall County the daughter of Barney Bedford Strickland and Ollie Belle Peters Strickland. She attended Snead State College and St. Bernard College receiving her education degree. She retired from teaching at the Arab Primary School. She was a member of the Arab First Baptist Church and married to the late Jesse Glenn Brown, Sr.
She is survived by her Sons: Jesse Glenn Brown, Jr. and Terry Lynn (Ginger) Brown, Grandchildren: Jason (Meagan) Brown, Adam (Eve) Brown, Brody (Bryce) Brown, and Jesse G. Brown, III; Great Grandchildren: Gavin, Grayson, Gabriella Brown and Gunnar Patterson; Sister-in-law: Sue Strickland, Brother-in-law: Bill (Christine) Newland. Preceded in death by Husband: Jesse Glenn Brown, Sr, Parents: Barney and Ollie Belle Strickland, Brothers: Alton Strickland and John Randall Strickland, Sisters: Ester Strickland, Junita Strickland and Ila V. Strickland Hard.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Arab First Baptist Church with Rev. David Kizziah officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel. She will also lie-in-state at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Arab First Baptist Church.
