Mary Ellen Pollock Hurst, age 85, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 12pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with her family officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Tuesday from 11-11:45am.
Mrs. Hurst was born July 8, 1936 in Tullahoma to the late Raymond Earl and Elizabeth Reavis Pollock. She worked as an accountant and was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved cooking, baking, car rides, and camping.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Hurst is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lathern Hurst and her sister, Estelle Solomon.
Mrs. Hurst is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Shelia; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jerry Hayes; grandson, Zachary (Julia) Hall; step-grandchildren, Johnny Pentecost, Jr. and Jeffrey Pentecost; and great-grandchildren, Eli Hall and Paisleigh Grace Hall.
