Jerry Thomas Steele Jr. age 49 of Estill Springs, TN, left this life suddenly on Saturday, April 23rd due to a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 30th, 1972, in Sterling, Illinois. He later moved to Tullahoma, Tennessee, where met and married the love of his life, Cheryl Anne (Smith) Steele. J.T. loved riding his motorcycle, he was a major advocate for a lot of the local and surrounding area benefits for Veterans, children’s charities, and so many more. J.T was a brother and friend to riders across the nation and he never failed to have a conversation with everyone he came in contact with. J.T. enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his friends and family, and living a simple life. He was employed at Nissan in Decherd, TN as an industrial maintenance technician for almost 20 years. He will be remembered most importantly for his willingness to help anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lushion and Beulah Steele of Estill Springs; maternal grandparents, Mike and Gertrude Reed, and a host of aunts and uncles. J.T. is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cheryl Steele of Estill Springs,TN; son Christian Steele and future daughter-in-law Kayla Rose of Estill Springs, TN; two beautiful daughters, Destiny and Madison Steele of Estill Springs, and special son, Brandon Landis of Cowan; father, Jerry (Theresa) Steele of Estill Springs, TN; mother, Cyndi Reed of Decherd, TN; sister, Tami (Joe) Paseur of Estill Springs. The list could go on forever but most importantly we want to remember that he touched the lives of more people than we can imagine and he definitely lived his life to the fullest degree. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00am from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Christian, Brandon, Jeremy, John, Tom, Lenny, Mike and Harley serving as pallbearers and Ernest and Mike S serving as honorary pallbearers.
