Mr. Doug McGee, 80 of East Limestone, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, 3PM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel – Athens

Entombment at Huntsville Memory Gardens

Visitation will be 1-3PM on Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home

Born May 8, 1932 in Shelbyville, TN
Graduated from Central High School in Shelbyville, TN
United States Navy from 1951-1955
Retired from AT&T and Teledyne Brown Engineering
Doug went to be with Lord and reunited with the love of his life on Sunday morning after on a brief illness.
Doug never met a stranger and quickly made you a part of his family. He always had a smile on his face, a hug for you and a kind word. He was the ultimate southern gentleman. He strived in life to set a Christian example for the many young people he had become “Granddad” to. The family of Doug McGee would like to thank the staff of Huntsville Hospital 8th floor Neurological Intensive Care for their selfless and compassionate care.

Parents: Eulus and Minnie Lee McGee
Brothers: Buddy, Billy and Larry McGee and Sister: Margaret Orr
