Johnny Robert Garner, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born on August 27, 1951, in Sherwood to the late James Lawrence and Pauline Irene (Hasty) Garner. Before his retirement, he was employed at AEDC. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors deer hunting. Johnny grew up attending the Episcopal Church in Sherwood. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Garner; and siblings, James L. Garner, Ronnie Garner, Roger Garner, Paulette Garner, and Anita King. Johnny is survived by his sister, Brenda (Bob) Barnes; daughter, Lona (Terry) Hopkins; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 10-11:45am on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 12:00 noon at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
