John “Colby” Waldon, age 49, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Vernon, AL, lost his life early in the morning of March 18, 2022 while selflessly trying to help someone in a traffic accident, leaving behind the legacy of a true hero, a loving and devoted father and son, a dedicated spine specialist, and a devout Christian. Although his life has ended, he will continue to live on through the precious memories of his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on April 23, 2022 at 6:00pm at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
Colby was born on February 21, 1973 to the late John Wayne Waldon and Laurie Hicks. He graduated from LCHS, Class of 1991. To know him was to love him. He truly loved life and brought joy to so many. His main purpose in life was to be a great father to his two daughters, whom he loved dearly, to serve the Lord, and be a man you could truly count on.
