Robert Black, age 85 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022. Services will be Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral home with Rev. Al Morrison and Rev. Nora Newby officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Nazarene Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Cora Bynum Black; brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Mary Carlisle Black; sister and brother-in-law, Grady and Lou Eddith Crews Black; brother, James Theron Black; sister and brother-in-law, Harold and Lula Mae Black Burns; and brother, Roy and Palestine Black.
He is survived by his best friend, Martha Hollingsworth; daughter, Susan Shaw; sons, Robert Black, Richard Black (Dijuana), and Ronald Black; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
