James Clark Martin Jr, age 32 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 19, 1990, in North Adams, Massachusetts. Until his illness, James was self-employed as a mechanic and was a “jack of all trades.” He enjoyed listening to music and was a real jokester. James cherished the time spent with his family, especially his son and momma, and was a “momma’s boy” who enjoyed her homecooked meals. He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Martin Sr; and grandfathers, Gary Martin and David Shade. James is survived by his loving wife Sara Martin; children, Audi Maney, James “Jimmy” Martin III, and Emily Martin; mother, Lynn (Tim) Green; siblings, Stephen Martin, Kiaya-Lynn (Zack) Burris, Timothy Green Jr, and Kenneth Shade II; special nephew, Carter Danforth; special niece, Starlit Medley; grandmother, Linda Frost; uncles, Kenneth “Bundy” Shade, David Shade, and Dennis Shade; aunt, Jennifer Shade; and grandmother, Marge (Peter) Rancatti. A memorial service will be held at a later date in North Adams, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
