Funeral Services for Hope Mitchell Delia, age 55 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. John Luckie officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Family Cemetery in Ashland.

Hope passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her home. Born in Clay County, she attended Mellow Valley High School and then went to work. Hope moved to Florida where she lived in Pensacola for over 10 years, while she worked at Baptist Manor as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She later moved back to Clay County and went on to work at the Clay County Nursing Home and also worked at Goodwater Healthcare Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Hope loved animals and had a heart for strays and being a caretaker. She was family oriented, a real morale booster and always there for you. Hope could always make you laugh when you were down and was always outspoken. She also enjoyed Alabama football. Hope was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Protestant Church.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Delia of Ashland, her mother, Heidi Roland (Hayward) of Kellyton, two sisters, Billie Lacey of Millerville and Darlene Casey (Randy) of Ashland, her step sister, Jennifer Cadiente (Eddie) of Oregon, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Frank Mitchell and three infant children.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:00 A. M. until service time at 11:00 A. M. at Benefield Funeral Home Ashland.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
