James Alan Campbell

Age 74 of White House went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at his home. He was born September 2, 1947 in Tampa, FL to Julius Aldwin & Erma Ledonia Andrews Campbell.. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked as a Geophysicist for Unical. He was the loving caregiver to his late wife, Linda ,for 27 years following a car accident that left her a quadriplegic. He enjoyed computers and had a passion for genealogy/family tree history. The most important thing to him was spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities and events. Mr. Campbell loved the Lord and was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Presley Campbell. He is survived by his sons, Jonathan (Brenda) Campbell, Franklin, TN, Christopher Campbell, CA and Nathaniel Campbell, DE; daughters, Malina (Brent) Newman, White House, TN and Laurinda (Matt) Steinmeyer, Franklin, TN; sisters, Joann, Sharon and Sandy; 9 grandchildren. There will be a memorial service planned for Mr. Campbell in Texas and this obituary will be updated when those arrangements are finalized. There are no local services planned..
