Mrs. Carol Sue Van Sleet of Arab, Alabama, formerly of Accord, New York, passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the age of 76.
Mrs. Van Sleet was born to Francis Coddington and Eleanor Booth Coddington on January 16, 1946 in Accord, New York. Mrs. Van Sleet was employed as a secretary for the US Government. She was privileged to travel extensively, with her husband, overseas to Japan and Germany. She made it a point to put her family first. She was actively involved with Cub Scouts and Brownies when her children were young. Her hobbies were Sudoku puzzles and reading.
Mrs. Van Sleet leaves behind memories to be cherished by her husband of 57 years, Daniel E. Van Sleet, her son, David Edward Van Sleet; daughter, Cinny Jo Van Sleet; and sister Gail Lynn Shaffer; grand-daughters, Kaytelynn Van Sleet and Ursas Van Sleet.
Visitation for Mrs. Van Sleet will be Thursday, April 14, 2022 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Randy Blakely officiating.
